Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

1. Who this policy covers

This policy describes the information practices of Shawn Myers, operating the Shawn Myers coaching business ("we," "us," or "our"). It covers shawnmyers.com, our connected client portal, our forms and emails, and information handled while delivering our coaching, educational resources, and related services.

For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].

2. Information you provide

Depending on how you interact with us, you may provide your name, email address, phone number, booking details, messages, coaching goals, intake answers, business information, account information, and community contributions. We also keep relevant purchase, payment-status, and customer-support records.

Payment information is processed through the payment provider identified at checkout. Please do not send card numbers, passwords, government identification numbers, or other unnecessary sensitive information through general forms, chat, or email.

Coaching discussions may include personal experiences or religious beliefs that you choose to share. Share only what you are comfortable discussing and what is useful for the service. Recording information is addressed below.

3. Website information and cookies

When you use our website, portal, or embedded services, technical information may be processed, such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages requested, referring pages, timestamps, and form or account activity. This information supports delivery of the website, security, troubleshooting, and the operation of the services you request.

Cookies and similar technologies can support sign-in, session management, saved preferences, and embedded forms or booking tools. Browser settings let you manage cookies, although disabling necessary cookies can affect some features.

Analytics, advertising, and privacy signals: We use GoodGround/HighLevel, Meta, and Google tools in connection with website activity, analytics, and advertising. Depending on the tool and its settings, cookies, pixels, or similar technologies may process device identifiers, page visits, referral information, and interactions to understand website use, measure campaigns, or show relevant advertising. These providers may associate information with other activity or accounts under their own policies. See how Google uses information from partner sites and Meta’s Privacy Policy.

You can adjust browser cookie settings and provider advertising preferences, including Google Ad Settings and the advertising controls available through your Meta account. These controls have different scopes and may not stop every form of collection. Contact us to request an opt-out from optional advertising uses of your information. [[SITE_PRIVACY_CONTROLS: add the actual site consent/opt-out control and an accurate statement of how the site handles Do Not Track and legally applicable opt-out preference signals, after checking the configuration.]]

4. How information is used

We use relevant information to deliver requested downloads; respond to inquiries; manage appointments, purchases, and accounts; provide coaching and resources; communicate about your services; maintain business records; troubleshoot problems; protect the services; and meet applicable legal obligations.

If you sign up for the free guide and related emails, we use your name and email address to deliver the guide and send the follow-up content described at signup. Other promotional emails are sent according to your preferences and applicable requirements. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in an email or by contacting us. Unsubscribing does not prevent essential messages about a purchase, appointment, account, or privacy request.

5. Service providers and other disclosures

Information relevant to a service may be processed by providers supporting our website and client systems, forms, email, scheduling, video meetings, storage, and payment processing. Our setup includes GoodGround/HighLevel, Zoom, Meta, and Google. The providers involved depend on the feature or service you use.

Information may also be shared with people authorized to help deliver your services, with your direction or permission, or when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect people and systems, or address a dispute. We limit these disclosures to the relevant purpose.

Content you post in a group or community can be seen by the participants who have access to that space. Avoid posting information you want to keep private. Third-party websites you choose to visit have their own privacy practices.

Sale, advertising sharing, and rental of information: [[DATA_SALE_AND_SHARING_STATEMENT: confirm actual practices, including whether advertising technology constitutes sale or sharing under applicable law, and include any required opt-out mechanism.]]

6. Coaching recordings

Coaching sessions are recorded. A recording can contain your image, voice, display name, shared screen, and information discussed during the session. Please read the Coaching Policies and raise recording concerns before booking. Recording requires the notice and agreement appropriate to the session; this privacy notice is not blanket permission to publish your participation.

[[RECORDING_HANDLING: specify the purpose, storage provider, authorized viewers, client or group access, retention/deletion period, and whether transcription or AI note-taking is used. If used, identify the provider and explain its handling of the information.]]

7. Retention, security, and processing locations

We keep information for the time reasonably needed to provide the relevant service, maintain required business records, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. The appropriate period depends on the type of information and its purpose. Recordings follow the specific policy stated above. A deletion request may be subject to lawful recordkeeping requirements.

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle, but no website, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Providers may process information in locations outside your state or country. Where applicable law requires particular safeguards for a transfer, those requirements still apply.

8. Your choices and requests

You can ask us about the information we hold, request correction or deletion, or change your marketing preferences by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may also have rights to access or receive a copy of information, withdraw consent, restrict or object to processing, opt out of specified data uses, or appeal a denied request.

We may need to verify your identity or an authorized agent's authority before acting. We respond within the periods required by applicable law and explain applicable limitations. We do not penalize you for exercising rights protected by law. You may also have the right to contact your local privacy regulator.

9. Children

Our services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

10. Updates and contact

We may update this policy as our services or practices change. The date above identifies the latest version. When required, we provide additional notice or obtain consent before making a material change in how information is used.
